Sometimes there just ain't any justice.

Ok as I'm sure everyone is aware of, the Powerball drawing has reached unbelievable heights. So naturally a lot of people are playing, including us. No real expectation of winning but we can afford $2.00 every now and then to buy a ticket. We'll, the guy that lives two houses north of me played and miraculously won a million dollars. That's $1,000,000. Yes, that's a lot of money. And when he got interviewed by local media he said all the things one would expect. Going to fix the house, help out the grandkids, etc. All well and good. Now here's where the injustice comes in. This guy is a hard core trumpite. His yard and house had and has trump garbage everywhere and he wears that damn red cap every time I see him anywhere.
It should have been a Biden backer who would donate to good candidates and/or causes. But nooo, it had to be a trumpite. Well I guess there's no reason to complain. He just got extremely lucky and I hope he enjoys the money. But damn.... A trumpite. Just doesn't seem fair.

$600,000 is before taxes, so net somewhere around $400,000 I'd guess 🙂 MLAA Jul 2023 #6

I’ve known two people who won $1M in a lottery. First guy bought a Bentley (used, but still costly) and within 5 years was divorced and lost his house and auto repair business. Second guy took payments instead of lump sum. Last year, he spent $40K on lottery tickets - more than he receives every year. I heard through the grapevine that he wants his job back - but on his terms, as a part-timer. I gave that notion a hard pass.

I know a million seems like a lot of money, but it doesn't go as far as it used to.

He'll get about 600,000 - 650,000 on a payout.

He's going to fix his home good, But, it will cost 100,000 easy for repairs and remodeling. If I were the OP, I would suggest that he is freaking rich, buy a new house and sell this one as is. A win/win LOL

550,000 left. Give some to the kids and grandkids? more money gone.

new cars, pay off bills.

Die hard Trump supporter. My guess he will give him a large sum, hoping to meet him in person.

As a trump supporter he has shown he is easily conned and the grifters will come at him hard.
