Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appeared on Fox News on Thursday night where he continued his longtime crusade against wokeness despite the fact it does not seem to have helped him much in the polls.
Surveys have consistently shown the governor trailing former President Donald Trump by wide margins.
Appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime, DeSantis discussed the recent woes of the stock price of Anheuser-Busch InBev, which produces Bud Light. Earlier this year, conservative media outlets and politicians embarked on a weeks-long outrage campaign after Bud Light sent a personalized can to a transgender TikTok influencer and paid her to promote the beer.
On Thursday, DeSantis sent a letter to the manager of his states pension fund, which owns shares of InBev. He urged the manager to consider suing the company because, he said, it breached legal duties owed to its shareholders by going woke.

But that is his whole platform.
His sole political appeal is that he is attacking people that an apparently significant number of voters want to see attacked.

(10,247 posts)So he, his conservative pals and media honchos go on a mission to thrash a private company because of some perceived wokeness. That campaign, being somewhat successful in negatively impacting that company as well as his state's pension fund investments in that company, then becomes the reason for a lawsuit against the company he and his pals damaged for the loss of value in his state's investments?
Do I got that right?
That's like intentionally shooting yourself in the foot and suing the ammo manufacturer for medical costs, pain and suffering, etc. because the ammo functioned as designed. It makes no sense to me.
He's a dangerous kook.
