Romney: Gosh, this is a work day, right?

Florence, South Carolina (CNN) - The day after he was roundly targeted by his rivals in a contentious debate, the GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney spoke before a sedate audience of roughly 100 in a cavernous room in Florence, South Carolina.

The candidate seemed to acknowledge the optics of a relatively small audience - compared to his previous events in the state - that was dwarfed by the large convention center. He immediately thanked the voters for showing up.

"You guys are great to get up at - what time is it here, 9 o'clock in the morning in Florence?" Romney said. "Gosh, this is a work day, right?"

We get on politicians from both sides of the aisle when they try to bluff their way through something when it's obvious they don't have the least clue what they're talking about. Mitt manfully concedes here that he doesn't have the first idea of what hours a person keeps when he works for a living.

I used to do the same when I had what was often a 2 hour commute (think logjam). She still gets up about 6:30 on weekends and other days off and I'm usually up before 8. She's at her second job right now - 5 p.m. - and won't be home until 7:30. Do you think Mittens has ever put in an honest day worth of work in his life? I'm not sure his "career" counts as "work" in the first place. I guess even professional criminals view what they do as "work". And the poor dude only gets $300+K for a short delivery of stupidity in what he calls "speaking". I really feel sorry for him. What a horrible way to make a living. I'll bet him $10,000 that he's got more money than I do. I could use the money. Just keep the asshole AWAY from my dogs (and Mr. Frothy too).
