Two Kinds of Republicans

I finally figured it out. There are essentially two kinds of Republicans. There are those who have an intrinsic hatred of government. They want government out of the way -- out of the way of the market, out of the way of "free people" doing their thing. There aren't that many of them, really. But they are the Republicans with the money and education. Then there are the other Republicans. The don't really hate government because they hate government intrinsically. They hate government because they hate the despised OTHER -- blacks, hispanics, secular people in general. They believe that the government is to solicitous of the people they hate. They hate government sort of accidentally and sort of out of a false consciousness.

Amazing that these two sets of government haters persist in the same party. But they do.
