I listened to a podcast with Jimmy Buffett as the guest. What an interesting life and one well-lived. Can’t say I was a huge fan but he came across as a very likeable person. Definitely worth a listen which is on “Tom Scott’s Podcast Express.”

My best friend got my late husband and I hooked on him. We went to his concerts and three of his margaritavilles . We loved key West. I read Jimmy's books. He was fun. And we loved margaritas. We loved Chi Chi's margaritas . Chuck learned to make them like Chi Chi's made them. Jimmy's Margaritaville made great ones too. We had all of his albums. My husband, Chuck, looked a little like Jimmy.

Big party in heaven today. I will be playing his music 🎵 today. RIP, Jimmy.

Back in the last millennium, my husband traded an extra pocket knife for this album and a couple others with Cooney up Cullowhee.

Incidentally, hub’s granddaddy used to distill some powerful white lightning way before my time.
He also built a church for his remote community and sang shape note there. Not his congregation, but here’s a sample.

I was called a blasphemer for singing this next song quietly to myself in the staff lounge. Should have checked the powder room. Got told good and proper that even if I didn’t love Jesus, he still loved me. Anyway, no blasphemy intended.
