If we dont turn things around quickly, we could lose this seat to the Democrats. I cant believe Im saying those words, but I need you to understand how dire this situation is. [Frischs] latest internal polls have him beating us by two points, read an email sent by Boeberts campaign on Aug. 29.
The email from Wednesday, Aug. 30, written by former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, stated that Boebert was being pummeled by Frisch. If the Election were held today Lauren would lose, the email read. --snip--
The recent poll, completed by Keating Research and released Aug. 22, had 50% of respondents saying they would vote for Frisch in 2024, while 48% said they would vote for Boebert. The remaining 2% said they either didnt know or had no opinion. The poll involved a live-interviewer phone survey of 801 likely November 2024 voters, completed between August 8-15. The margin of error was 3.5%
The poll showed more respondents holding a negative perception of Boebert than a positive one. Among Boebert, Frisch, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, Frisch was the only 2024 candidate who received a net positive opinion among respondents. --snip--
Though a Democratic firm, Keating Research was the only pollster to accurately predict the results of Boeberts and Frischs first race in 2022. Boebert beat Frisch by 546 votes. It was the closest congressional race of the year.
More at the link which does not appear to be paywalled, interestingly enough.

(792 posts)I guess the voters are finally realizing that having white trash represent them makes them look bad.

The Times and the Post, yes, people from all over the world look at them in droves.
A small town paper would be mostly locals, unless someone posted a link from them to a larger audience, and that wouldn't happen often.

(9,267 posts)but Fort Collins is bigger - and contains a major university - with in some departments an iternational reputation - and has alumni strewn to the four winds.
The (Alamosa) Valley Courier doesn't have one, nor does the Pueblo Chieftain, nor does the Colorado Springs Gazette (I believe one does have to register to comment on letters to the editor, but I didn't check that ut today, and the last time i did was tears ago.)
I'm not sure it would pay Aspen to have one even if they could just have it during the music festival.
