Chris Christie Takes Direct Aim At Trump's 'Fragile Ego'

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is keeping up the heat on Donald Trump, saying the chaos after the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol were the result of Trump’s “fragile ego.”

“What he did on election night to me disqualified him from being president of the United States again,” Christie told Howard Kurtz on Fox News, saying Trump never had any evidence that the election was stolen.

“He lost to Joe Biden,” Christie said. “Now I know his fragile ego can’t deal with the idea that he lost to somebody like Joe Biden, who had never beaten anybody outside the state of Delaware before. But guess what, Donald? You lost to Joe Biden.”

He said everything that’s happened since is Trump’s responsibility.

I resent that, being a Delawarean. Plus Joe won twice on a national ticket as vice president. Just drop that line, Chris Christie, i’ve heard it a few times already now, don’t insult our state, it’s right next to yours. You might need our help someday, man. Otherwise I like the fact that he’s taking it to Trump that way.

In addition to that embarrassing question, Joe Biden has certainly beaten political opponents outside the state of Delaware. Check the results of the presidential elections of 2008 and 2012. Biden's name is on the winning ticket in any number of states.

I feel like in Delaware we don’t have that many seats in Washington, so we don’t want to send just anybody. And as far as corruption, if there was any of that, Delaware would know about it. Everybody’s related to somebody. Or went to school with them
