Romney in 2007: Catching Bin Laden not worth the cost.

Romney Said Capturing Bin Laden Would Result In “Very Insignificant Increase In Safety” For America. And Such Effort Was “Not Worth Moving Heaven And Earth And Spending Billions Of Dollars” To Catch
One Person. “[Romney] said the country would be safer by only ‘a small percentage’ and would see ‘a very insignificant increase in safety’ if al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was caught because another terrorist would rise to power. ‘It’s not worth moving heaven and earth spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person,’
Romney said. Instead, he said he supports a broader strategy to defeat the Islamic jihad movement.” (Liz Sidoti, “Romney Says Rivals Switch Positions, Too,” The Associated Press, 4/26/07)

Spending billions more and putting many more American lives at risk. What a guy. The term flip-flopper doesn't begin to describe Mitt's incoherent and unprincipled changes of positions, nor the frequency and speed that these positions change. I fully expect that once Mitt secures the Republican nomination, he'll change his positions yet again for the new audience he'll be facing. He can help it...he is the ultimate con artist.
