NYC: Detectives Endowment Association endorses Flushing Coun, Member Sandra Ung (D) for re-election

The Detectives Endowment Association (DEA) has announced its endorsement of Flushing Council Member Sandra Ung for re-election in the upcoming 2023 general election.

The DEA, which represents 18,000 active and retired NYPD detectives, signified their trust in Ung’s commitment to public safety and her strong support for the city’s law enforcement agencies.

We are proud to endorse Sandra Ung for re-election in 2023. She understands the issues the city faces and the importance of keeping her community safe,” DEA President Paul DiGiacomo said. “Sandra is the right choice for Council District 20.”

District 20 includes the neighborhoods of Flushing, Mitchell-Linden, Murray Hill, Queensboro Hill and Fresh Meadows.

Ung expressed her gratitude for the endorsement.

2. I grew up in Flushing in the 60s. It was a great place to grow up,

Worlds Fair was there in '64. When it ended we used to ride our bikes around Flushing Meadow Park.

Don't often see Flushing come up in topics so it caught my eye.
