Oblivious I signed on to DU this am and it was NOT THERE: my first thought

on assessing the situation, after nodding in agreement with the solidarity action was this:
"I hope that Skinner gets to play with his children all day long".

Then with a new appreciation I thought about the night and day / year round availability of DU, and smiled a lot when I missed DU today and sent good thoughts hoping it worked out well for the Administrators to have a really strange day,

but now I noticed bookmarks have appeared, so the work goes on.

(Thanks for the bookmarks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

to get on the phone to call Senators Boxer, left a vm and Feinstein, busy sig all day.

I also called our Dishonorable Buck McKeon. Here's what I put on our local blog:

I called McKeons DC office and the clerk could honestly have cared less. He wasn’t aware of his position on SOPA and didn’t seem to care what a constituents opinion was. Buck doesn’t have a stated position on this and given his staffs response, I guess they are waiting to see who ponies up the most money before deciding.

I asked our local blogger if maybe he would have better luck getting a response, which he did:

The Congressman’s office emailed to tell me he opposes SOPA as it is currently crafted. Here’s his quote:

“Today my offices received an extraordinary amount of calls and emails from constituents concerned with the SOPA bill. I have listened to these concerns, and if taken up for a vote on the House floor I would oppose SOPA in its current form.”

What a coward McKeon is. Head of the Armed Services Commitee and he waits to see which way the wind is blowing before boldly deciding. Fucking douche!

Unfortunately he's another entrenched politician in a safe district of mostly white people.
