Rep. Scott DesJarlais' career finished, pundits say

?4

At least one prominent Tennessee Republican said Friday he’s seriously considering challenging Rep. Scott DesJarlais in 2014, as political observers said revelations about DesJarlais’ divorce portend serious trouble for his career.

A transcript of DesJarlais’ 2001 divorce showed that he and his then-wife, Susan, made a mutual decision to have two abortions.

Still another woman has charged that DesJarlais encouraged her to get an abortion as well.

DesJarlais, a doctor whose congressional seat was a Democratic stronghold before he won it using tea party themes in 2010, also acknowledged in the court case he had sex with at least two patients and he said he prescribed painkillers for at least one of them.

He also admitted to affairs with eight women while his divorce was pending.

This story came out in enough time that you would have thought the upright folks in Tennessee would bounce this shitstain on his ass. Guess party and power above all. So they're gonna wait two years to deal with this hypocrite and oxygen thief? To use the localism..."Bless Their Hearts"...

10. The Story Was Out Before The Election, No?

I know TPM was citing from the transcripts in the days/weeks before the election and looked like some local media latched on as well. If this was leaked then I can understand people questioning the source and timing. However, I also recall that DeJareles didn't refute the charges either.

Oh well...the people have spoken and right be it so...

11. Not the part about his and his wife's abortions

but the worst of it: that he seduced his patients and tried to force one to abort ( she ended up not being pregnant ) WAS known.

Like I've said before, conservatives in Tennessee don't care if you really ARE conservative.

If you just SAY you're conservative, and say Jesus a few times, you get their ignorant vote. Then you can do whatever you want.

They are all liars and hypocrites, but what else is new from conservatives anywhere?
