5. Maybe the ACA will morph into Medicare for everyone and it won't matter

Love it or hate it, the ACA is the law of the land. In a little over a month, 2014 and the end of pre-existing conditions and the promise of having health security will be a reality.

Stands to reason that one day a medicare for all plan will be created to compete with private insurers in the exchanges. Then the medicare eligibility age will be a relic. Maybe it's too optimistic, but I've felt pretty hopeful since the election.

Whatever happens - I'm very happy that the dems have the executive branch for four more years where so much rule making takes place.
