I didn't see the show. Did Chris Hayes ask her about this. Curious what her response was.

"ADL strongly disagrees with the congresswoman's comments. However, they were not anti-Semitic. And it is disturbing to see how some elected leaders have taken those comments out of context and demonized her for political gain. As a result, she has been slandered online and vilified on talk shows in a highly partisan and prejudicial manner, all the while ignoring the more substantive problems with her words."

Please remember she's a Democrat. Her district approves of her. She's a Palestinian-American. I believe some understanding is in order.

Brain in gear before mouth in motion.

Wanna be brash and shoot from the hip? Cool. Be ready for the fallout. She represents people that she likely deeply offended. The things she said were epically stupid. She had the opportunity to retract. She didn’t.

Whether I agree with the censure or not she put herself in that position. Be passionate. Be bold. But be smart about what you say.

No, purposefully hateful speech. She knows exactly what she is saying and means it.

She is anti-semitic first, Democratic Congresswoman second.

It's almost as if many people believe criticizing Israel is the same as endorsing Hamas. Plus it's not like far worse has been said in congress many times over. I wonder what would've happened if she was white.
