Why is it so hard to report that Trump is quoting Hitler?

Words are flipped, but the sentence is the same. So why not report it without the 'both sides' varnish. The Biden Administration is not making that mistake.

It's a long time ago. Folks today do not understand the horror of the nazi regime.
But there is no excuse. It's not as though there is no documentation, no media, no video and no eyewitness accounts.

kept a copy of a book of Hitler's by the bed. It was the only book he cared to read.

Trump is so completely crazy that he is thinking that it's giving him more attention so he's bound to get even worse now.
