People often forget about all of the hours political spouses spend, unpaid, working to make our lives better...

I think her and Jimmy, soon to follow, are done with the hell on earth, all the evil fakes claiming to be Gods peeps, destroying the message and turning people away.
You make me hope you both were right, and you are in a paradise with your sweetheart soon to join you.
An eternity I would want to be with. Never wanna spend eternity with this GQP. Give me the dry heat.
RIP Mrs Carter.
If God ever does bless, these two have earned such blessings. 😥😢

Mrs. Carter was married for 77 years to Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States and the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, who is now 99 years old.
Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished, President Carter said. She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.
She is survived by her children Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A grandson died in 2015.
Besides being a loving mother and extraordinary First Lady, my mother was a great humanitarian in her own right, said Chip Carter. Her life of service and compassion was an example for all Americans. She will be sorely missed not only by our family but by the many people who have better mental health care and access to resources for caregiving today.
The schedule of memorial events and funeral ceremonies will be distributed as soon as possible to media and posted on www.rosalynncartertribute.org. This tribute website includes the familys official online condolence book and opportunities for memorial gifts, as well as an official biography and downloadable photos.

(917 posts)I was baptized the same day the hostages were taken in Iran. Due to my age, I have no memories of their time as President and First Lady. Most of my memories of them have to do with Habitat For Humanity.
The Carters had a REAL marriage and what a life of service. I had no idea until today what a huge advocate Mrs. Carter was for mental health.
God rest you, dear lady...and thank you. 🙏❤🕯

The day he does leave us will be very sad for this country and humankind.

(8,897 posts)Their faith is proof that not all Christians believe in the subjugation of women who must be controlled by men and whose life decisions are to be made by men. His comment that she was an equal partner was so true because he treated her as an equal.
