CNN Unearths Audio of New House Speaker Calling Humans 'Inherently Evil' and Abortion a 'Holocaust'

https://www.mediaite.com/politics/cnn-unearths-audio-of-new-house-speaker-calling-humans-inherently-evil-and-abortion-a-holocaust/

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) called human beings “inherently evil” and referred to abortion as “an American holocaust” in audio clips resurfaced by CNN.

Andy Kaczynski of KFILE joined Tuesday’s OutFront, where he shared his findings with Erin Burnett.

“It is truly an American holocaust,” Johnson said of abortion in a radio interview in May 2022. “I mean, the reality is that Planned Parenthood and all these big abortion, they set up their clinics in inner cities. They are, you know, they regard these people as easy prey. I mean it’s true. This is what’s happening across the country now.”

Kaczynski went on to say he found a clip of Johnson opposing gay couples adopting children. Johnson claimed that homosexuality is a “behavior” and therefore not covered by anti-discrimination laws.

nature. Are we good, bad or neutral, and by how much?

This debate goes back centuries and crosses religious, political, philosophical, and social barriers.

Johnson has a perfect right to believe as he does, but he has no right to force rest of us into his lopsided belief.

They accuse drag queens of grooming kids, because they do.
They accuse poor people of mooching off the government, because they do.
They accuse minorities of wanting to "replace" (i.e. genocide) them, because they do.

Mike says humans are evil, because he knows that he is.

Why they focus so obsessively on sex is anyone’s guess — maybe because it brings us pleasure and closeness, and after all, if our very natures are inherently evil, why so is every indication of our sexuality.

Therefore, sex and sexuality need to be stomped down hard, driven into the shadows of shame and the darkness of twisted power-over. Power-over anyone perceived as weaker, like women and gay men, and over anyone actually weaker, like children.

Individual thought, differences of any kind, all evil.

Mike Johnson is sick and twisted and belongs nowhere near the halls of power.

Any normal person should be able to smell his festering psychic stink from across the country.

Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

I think maybe the whole radicalized Republican party needs to understand this one:

And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

If he really wants to see an American holocaust, try on the fact that 68,000 Americans die per year due to lack of healthcare.

- C. S. Lewis

Most main line Christians understand that we are all deeply flawed. You don’t have to be Christian to get that.

I don’t think that a real Christian would say that all people are evil. If he believes that then he should read scripture and spend more time in prayer.

That is an absurd statement.

Much of what people are calling “evil” is learned behavior. That is not inherent.

Personally the term “evil” as it is being used here is ridiculous. But I don’t need to live in fear of being judged by a sky daddy which is exactly where all of this is coming from to begin with. Societies still living under millennia years old beliefs and writings to try and keep order.

All of it is ridiculous far too outdated anti-intellectual garbage.

Is that they can come right back with verses that negate those 'nice' ones. And they'll cream you in the process, because the number of hateful, cruel and sadistic verses far--far--outweigh the 'nice' ones.

People who have read the book--all of it--know this.

The idea that man is inherently not good is something that goes back at least 500 years in Christianity. Probably more. Calvin thought that man, as a consequence of the whole Garden of Eden thing, was a slave to sin and not naturally inclined to love God and were more interested in their own things and not things of God.

Forgiveness doesn't come through some fictional demigod.

It comes from humans failing, as we all, do and then making amends for their bad behavior to those they wronged. Then we puny humans can forgive them and move on.

That's real forgiveness, not some mythical get out of jail card for all who do nothing more than support the 'right' team.

They assume everyone else has the same weaknesses and urges as they do themselves.

Their view of others is reflective of their own behavior.

I have seen this time and time again.

I recall TFG being gobsmacked that (then) Prince Charles was worried about climate change. His thinking was that Prince Charles would not be around when the worst effects of climate change take hold, so why in the world would he care?
