However, there is a difference between dead and not compatible with life.

The fetus, when born is not expected to survive.
It could die in utero.

But as of last week, it was not dead.

Devine and his wife continued a high-risk pregnancy for their seventh child even though the pregnancy was likely to cause the death of both the mother and the child, according to Devine. His wife survived the pregnancy but the child died an hour after birth.[1]

Her very existence was used to prove a point.
Many years ago I had a coworker who was diagnosed with breast cancer early in a pregnancy. Being a devout Catholic she refused to consider abortion so she could be treated for the cancer. Her baby lived. She didn’t. “Pro-life” assholes think what she did was Brave and Noble, to sacrifice her life for the fetus. Beyond sick.

It was not imposed upon them by outsiders. Personally, I would have terminated that pregnancy, but I've never been faced with that decision.

As I like to say: If you think abortion is wrong, don't have one. But don't try to make such decisions for anyone else.

I don't agree with their decision at all and don't agree they should impose their will on others. However, assuming that if any of the Texas Supreme Court were in the same shoes and would get an abortion is not accurate.

And forcing a woman (even married with a wanted child) to carry a dead or dying or unviable fetus is also a way to punish her.

To MAGA men and the American Taliban, women are either madonnas or sluts. Mothers or whores. Never a human being deserving of human rights. Mostly they consider them whores and want them punished for it - that is based in their religion - that biblical fantasy where Eve tempted Adam. In that view, all women are evil sluts. In no capacity are women or girls considered humans deserving of reproductive healthcare. They're just property, like livestock; male service units; incubators, second-class humans -- at very best.

This is their attitude. This is how it can be explained. It's the ONLY way it can be explained. Patriarchal evangelism that dehumanizes female human beings as evil temptresses where being a mother is the only redeeming value they have.

They want to force her to go to another state for an abortion and she cannot wait much longer. Once she has the abortion, the case becomes moot but no precedent has been set for future use by other women. The point is still to put fear of prosecution into the minds of all physicians yo make them refuse an abortion even to save a woman’s life.

Shut things down? By what means?

When you call for action, you need a clear plan that has a reasonable chance of working. You can't just go in there all fired up with no idea of what to do. That's a recipe for mob violence.

So spell out what these people need to do when they get to Texas that will actually, you know, work?

This BS is triggering, like Beer Bong Kavanaugh and his phony crocodile tears not only getting away with sexual assault but being rewarded with a lifetime appointment on the SC. It's been killing me, how this shit is happening.

There are phony services, used to be in the yellow pages, probably all over the internet, that claim to help pregnant women, usually desperate women, that are really anti-women religious nutbags, who can't mind their own business.

It's not any woman's responsibility to bring her personal health situation up for "precedent." Government does NOT belong in women's healthcare! The precedent is basic human rights without government interference.

And they have made it clear that precedent means nothing to them since they've stolen the majority, by way of a moronic criminal traitor to the US.

What world is this?!
