So it is most likely not something temporary, benign, or common.

So we could rule out cheap cologne, mothballs, garlic breath, bad breath, occasional passing gas, normal BO.

Perhaps urine or feces filled diapers?
Severe BO.
Maybe a combination of some of some of the above.

Gout.
