(82,849 posts)Yeah, there's hours and hours of video from that day, hundreds of arrests and convictions, irrefutable proof of what went on. Yet there is a huge industry dedicated to inflict amnesia on people. Some of them are eager to forget or gloss over the failed insurrection, sadly many of them are in positions of responsibility in the government and the media. And they don't stop, even in the face of the evidence.
We have to keep saying it, because there are people too preoccupied or distracted to pay attention, and they'll be reached by whoever's talking the loudest and the most often. Right now it seems the forces of forgetting have the upper hand.
