As of noon today, the online Washington Post features a VERY misleading headline:
Judges appear skeptical of Trumps Jan. 6 immunity claim
In fact, the judges listening to Trump's lawyers were rolling on the floor laughing their asses off, all the while trying to maintain judicial decorum.

(25,485 posts)1. It's not misleading in the least.
I get that everyone hates the media, but some of these criticisms are pretty silly, though I presume that was the intent here.

TwilightZone
(25,485 posts)4. People expect straight news to be sensationalist nonsense.
Predicting how judges will rule based on their interactions is a dangerous game. Hence, the understatement. They're also supposed to be reporting, not editorializing. That's why they also have an op-ed page.
I fully expect some think the headline should be, "Judges DESTROY Trump!!!!!!"
As it will be on five posts later today in the video forums.

TRUMP'S ATTORNEYS FILLING THEIR BRIEFS?
