MSNBC interviewed a caucus organizer

...who said approximately 100 voters had switched parties to repub.

Just then I got an email from an Iowan whose brother in Des Moines had switched his party to GOP so he could vote against Trump. "It won't help but..."

The brother says the process to change parties is moving slowly in Des Moines. I hope the party switch is for the same reason as his. It would be interesting to compare Trump Iowa votes in Nov.

Making such an effort in this weather is inspiring.

By double digits. Her policies are somehow even worse than Trump’s. I have no idea why we would want her to win.

Trump will be on the ticket one way or the other or he will destroy the Republican Party and whoever its presidential and vice-presidential nominee is.

Having said that, I think it's a bad idea because there aren't enough people willing to do switch parties to prevent Trump from winning the primary to begin with. I learned that the hard way when I voted in a Republican primary to support a Republican that voted to impeach Trump against a MAGA Trumper. The vote wasn't close, it ended up being a waste of my time, and I ended up on a bunch of Republican mailing lists.

It's just not worth it. Put the effort into recruiting people you know that hate Trump and his MAGA movement and get them registered and ready to vote. THAT'S how we beat MAGA (again).

I wouldn't switch parties to give the Never Trumpers someone to vote for. The cult GOP'ers will always vote against the "Evil Democrat", they won't stay home just because Trump didn't win. But the Never Trumpers will stay home or vote for a third party if Trump wins.
We are facing a dedicated two-prong media and troll farm attack against Biden during an election targeted to peel both professional Liberals and "Working Class economic anxiety voter" against the incumbent.

We don't want to give both the Never-Trumpers and some of the Crazy Cult Coalition a Republican to vote for. We need to weaken the field.

After Boebert announced that she's switched districts and is now running in my cousin's district.
