I'm off to prep for tomorrows homeless dinner.

We're expecting about 1,500 or so and I'm thankful for the good weather forecast(80 degees) since the meal is served outside in the park. The diners are not all homeless but are truly needy of not just a meal, but a sense that there is hope and others really do care. It can be quite motivational.

When you sit down for your dinner, please remember that everyone is not as fortunate to have family and friends to enjoy the day with. In whatever form or fashion you give thanks, slip in a little positive karma for those who have only hope for a better day.

Happy Thanksgiving DU family !

I know someone who needs attends free meals because he has to, just to get by. You cannot imagine how much it is appreciated.

they didn't take computers or radios, they just cleared the food.

sad enough, like the manager there said "We GIVE the food away, they didn't need to steal it"

but we gave them both the turkey's we had been given and the local grocery stores donated cases and cases of hams and turkeys

thanks for your service to your community!
