Linda McMahon’s Campaign ‘Screwed’ Workers by Giving Them Bad Checks, Condoms

"Checks have been mailed to campaign workers. Replacement checks were issued for those who did not want to wait for the mail," campaign spokeswoman Kate Duffy told WTNH. "The original checks were then voided once replacement checks were issued." They plan to follow up with staffers who reported receiving bad checks.

Fair enough, maybe. But how does the campaign justify this?

Twaine Don Gomes was one of the people who first complained to News 8. He was handed a check, but he says, the campaign told him they were mad that he came to News 8, so he got a little something extra in his envelope.

"Basically he handed me a check with a condom in it, told me I was screwed," Gomes said. "That's the rudest gesture you can ever do to a person, it's like spitting in a person's face."

His check bounced as well.

14. This is similar to what Romney did to his campaign workers--

just minutes after his concession speech, their campaign credit cards were cancelled, and many found themselves stranded without cab fare or without plane fare to get back to their homes.

I'd like to think this would turn them against Republicans and prevent them from ever signing on again to work for their election, but close to half the country still voted Republican despite the obvious harm the Republicans do to them and to the country as a whole, and they still parrot Republican talking points, which suggests that being royally screwed like this by the Republican candidate they worked so long and hard for will not lead them to question their loyalties at all.

15. Ironically, the condom is traditionally worn by the person "doing the screwing".

Then again, these are Republicans we're talking about, so it makes sense that they would have no clue how to use birth control.
