The computer 'Deep thought' determined that the answer to 'Life, the Universe, everything..." was 'Forty-two' in the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The late Mr. Adams is one of my favorites.

it's one of those books (well, set of books) that i've never actually read, but have had so many friends quote bits to me that i know it better than some books that i actually read myself years ago....

So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like 'Ow', 'Ownge', 'Round', 'Ground'! That's it! Ground! Ha! I wonder if it'll be friends with me? Hello, Ground!

Which can be rounded down to 47, which will make it technically true that he got "only" 47 percent of the vote!

but I'll truncate, without rounding, should it be necessary. 47% will be the albatross around his neck until he croaks and goes on to become god of his own planet.
