Serious question

Is it that far-fetched to game out that Nikki Haley's strategy has more to do with the impending collapse and death of MAGA and Trumpism with the full clean-up in aisle congress included that will soon follow the first real dent in tfguys armor.....a criminal conviction?

The one thing that seems to support that direction is that she is doing well in the funding raising world. There are some very big donors aligning themselves with her. They think something is going on....

Trump chokes on a cheeseburger.

She's positioning herself to be the alternate candidate should something take out Trump, either physically or legally. She also has some big donors that are helping her stay in the race.

She's also setting herself up for 2028.

As for the collapse and death of MAGA and Trumpism, I think that's further off than many assume, unless Trump loses spectacularly in November and the GOP decides that he's no longer worth the effort.

There are lots of wickets for trump to get through in the coming months. Haley doesn’t need much money (relative to political campaigns) to keep her profile high. I think it’s a good move on her part. I wouldn’t vote for her in 3 lifetimes but trump may be the best thing going for her now.
