MO: Several ballot proposals to raise the state's minimum wage

The Missouri Secretary of State has approved the gathering of signatures for several ballot proposals to raise the state’s minimum wage. They range from $13.50 an hour to 14 dollars an hour with proposals to adjust that amount yearly based on Consumer Price Index changes in the future. Missouri’s current minimum wage is $12.30 per hour for private employers, which is subject to rise each year with the rate of inflation. Signatures are being gathered for the various proposed minimum wage increases in hopes of putting them on this year’s election ballot.

1> It will pass with a majority of votes.
2> The GOP congress will undo it, anyway.
