(2,007 posts)30+ states allow teachers to carry guns, Tennessee is the latest. I havent seen any story where this led to a student being injured. If your state doesnt then contract your representative and tell them to get with the program.

(2,015 posts)The odds of an active shooter situation which starts in a classroom where the teacher happens to be one of the few that decide to carry and is quick enough to grab it and take care of the situation in real time.
Pretty slim, right?
And if fully armed, fully trained, fully armored police were too scared to engage an active shooter in Uvalde, what teacher is going to roam the halls and do the same?
I just don't see the benefit.
