They're walking out with arrested protestors one by one.

(87 posts)Super weird watching the what? - 80 some police officers awkwardly climb through the window. I was thinking (after about 20 or so police piled in) maybe they could go open the door? Glad it seemed to be peaceful, brooklynite.

(4,040 posts)Both were Columbia people, first was an English or lit professor, then someone from the law school involved in negotiations that died after 8-9 days. No explosoins or violence. Not yet tragic, imo

(51,866 posts)About 100 people were arrested without incident and the campus was cleared rather quickly (both Hamilton Hall and the encampment). He said this was a big improvement over how NYPD viciously cleared Vietnam protesters at Columbia in 1968, when they were beaten mercilessly.

(25,849 posts)I feel sorry for their president trying to deal with those professors. Someone even wrote an Op-ed about how the professors were the problem.
