CNN's United States of Scandal

Just came across this series on Max, it aired earlier this year. What I found interesting was that there were 6 episodes, each focusing on a different scandal. The episodes are:
- Rod Blagojevich
- Mark Sanford
- John Edwards
- Eliot Spitzer
- Jim Mcgreevey
- Valerie Plame
I find it interesting that out of the 6 episodes that 4 are focused on scandals involving Democrats and only 2 on scandals involving Republicans.
But CNN is completely unbiased, of course.

crime. But, it's usually not violent. People commit fraud and almost always get caught and go to prison at the end.

But, there has never been an episode about donald trump and his "university" or any other financial scandal. Still I enjoy watching the wealthy scammers go to prison.

Well maybe "love" isn't the right word. I find it highly interesting.

I haven't seen any about Trump they did have Paul Manafort.

I just saw the episode on the Boeing MAX, too. I think there should be an update on that one.

There are a lot of episodes that just blow me away. Some of the frauds/Ponzi schemes are so large (billions). Makes you want to bury your money in the backyard in coffee cans.

My main conclusion from the show is if you paint an illusion that you have a lotta lotta money, people will line up to give you theirs. Worse yet, there are a ton of them that probably would have gotten away with it or still be getting away with it had they not be soooo over the top. One of the saddest ones was about the guy from Property Wars....

And at the same time managed to sext a number of underage male pages in the US Congress.

Such nice people. Odd how they manage to escape public scrutiny. Like the time George Bush and Dick Cheney lied America into war.
