I wonder if any of these pollsters ever bother to ask WHY?
It just doesn't make sense. I guess the next thing Democrats are going to discover is that he's that unpopular due to people being inundated with negative coverage in MSM, and down right programming on the right.
It's incredibly hard to dent a flood of disinformation with a monthly great news report that gets a day of Airtime at best.
I'm not sure how we can overcome that.

(137 posts)The Republican Party was in shambles after Nixon. Did they repent for their sins? Nope. They just doubled down on dirty tricks and four years later we were all stuck with a mini dynasty headed by an addled Reagan and his CIA chief puppet master H W. The current Republican Party is taking the same course of action. It's not even deny, deny, deny. It's deflect, deflect, deflect. Everything they are guilty of, they are trying (in a disturbingly successful manner) to pin on Democrats. The question is how much of this B.S. we're willing to let our team take before we really push back hard.
For instance, the other day in court, Michael Cohen acknowledged stealing money from the Trump Organization that was intended to be paid to a group called Red Finch. The Michael Cohen theft ended up being the headline story that night. The fact that Red Finch was being paid by the Trump Organization to rig a popularity poll the results of which Trump didn't like received zero media attention. How was this not a big story? Mr. Fake News caught red handed generating what...Fake News. As Democrats, we've got to be willing to recognize and seize such opportunities. Being Mr. Nice Guy isn't going to be enough to win this next election.

But I do get that fear, doubt and uncertainty are much more absolute, dynamic, riveting, and dramatic than the boring stuff like research-based analysis which gets little to no airplay. It's been decided we'd much rather watch The Six Million Dollar Man than see Apollo 13 , at least until the drama and certainty get starring roles.
