There's a discussion on USA Today that he'll be too chicken to show up, but I think he'll make a big squawk and quit in the middle of it. He's no politician, just an actor. And he loves to put on a show.

(1,203 posts)I think he'll come up with a complaint ( that Biden is drugged) and walk out, or just not return after the break. In that case, hope Joe will continue answering questions and make a very strong final statement, like " The last man standing here stands for you, the American people!"

He will say the questions are too hard and unfair to him, though they may be the same ones asked of Joe Biden.

Bulloney. Has he ever done this in any single debate he's agreed to show up at? When did Trump ever walk away from free air time?
This is just more setting the bar lower for His Blobitude's performance. Now, if he completes the hour without puking on his own penny loafers, his cultdrones will declare a victory. He "beat expectations"
Please quit falling for the same trick

(22,587 posts)Debilitating psychological conditions as a result of torture can last a lifetime.
Once again the sacrifices he has made for his people come back to haunt him. He allowed himself to be tortured in order to save the rest of us from torture.

(24,028 posts)after getting his saggy ass kicked all over the debate stage, he will go on FOX"news" to claim that the moderators were biased but he won anyway.

(7,525 posts)Unless the moderators have their shit together this will not be a classic "debate." Hasn't been so far since 2015 or so. Joe will stay the course and handily win what ever is left of any debate. I have seen this movie before.
I think it would be great if he didn't show and Biden could talk to an empty chair. Doubt that will happen.

(1,568 posts)If I understand correctly, the Supreme Court will be releasing at least some decisions during the rest of the week. If any decisions go against Trump or put him in a bad mood, all bets are off.

(5,410 posts)that Trump will show and do the entire debate...
That is not necessarily my opinion, but I hope that he does--
because the more that the non-magats see TFG, the less they like him.

(16,774 posts)Where's the option for what will happen? Trump shows up as scheduled and stays until it's over.

(9,336 posts)he will show up, and when he gets his mic turned off he will try screaming louder to drown out Biden. When told by Bash or Tapper he cant scream, he will get mad and walk off, then claim the debate was rigged by Biden and the fake news in collaboration. By the next news day, all Republicans will fall in line and claim the debate was rigged.
