Take this as criticism from an armchair, but why they let him take the stage as ill as he was perplexes me.
If they had rescheduled due to the flu or whatever, the blowback would be nowhere close to what we are going to get now in the way of ads showing clips from the debate.
Again, I'm just talking out my ass, but I wonder if heads will roll.

(17,031 posts)To be honest: Tired and old is not a good look.
Just for that, the chief of debate prep should be busted down to gopher.
Someone should have prepped Joe on projection -- it's what stage actors (and clowns, thanks Donnie Dipwad!) do.
Don't fire the former CoDP, as the new gopher might come up with an idea to make up for the error.
Thanks for the reply.

(17,291 posts)Biden signed off on this decision, and then he , for whatever reason, failed to deliver.
To point the finger at staff would be an abdication of responsibility on Joes part.

(20,959 posts)Joe took the advice of the team.
Perhaps they were so eager to see the results of their coaching win, they ignored other factors, we'll never know.

(7,237 posts)We all have bad days or nights, and Joe at his worst is a far cry better than the orange fascist. Though it does not take being a Dr. to see that for whatever reason, President Biden was greatly diminished physically (and it impacted his thinking).

(16,807 posts)Just watch 2012's debate with Biden and Paul Ryan. Biden crushed him.

(20,959 posts)They shouldn't have let him go on.
Just my 2 cents.

(9,424 posts)And if you cant execute it, its not the coachs fault. You can say you should have a different strategy, but honestly, what strategy do you really think Joe could have executed at a high level?

(12,362 posts)sorry - this 'find someone to blame' finger pointing is (IMO) a game played by the craven and sycophant.
And, knowing my Joe - he'd probably be the first one to say ...
I have hit 20,000!
Thanks, I didn't even notice!

(6,837 posts)Joe did fine. The media is going to whoop up the crowds for ratings.

(20,959 posts)He was obviously sick, his mike volume was half of Trump's to the point where I was straining to hear him, while Dumps big mouth blew me out of my chair, and they cued Joe to look at the wrong cameras so it appeared he was never speaking to the viewers. No such problem with Trump.
I almost had to buy a new t.v., as I had the definite impression CNN ratfucked Joe.
