Mary Trump Counters George Clooney With 'Much Bigger News' About Her Uncle

https://www.yahoo.com/news/mary-trump-counters-george-clooney-070556923.html

ary Trump issued a scathing reminder about her uncle, former President Donald Trump, to counter what she described as the media hysteria surrounding movie star George Clooney’s call for President Joe Biden to end his 2024 campaign.

Clooney expressed his love for Biden in a New York Times opinion piece on Wednesday, but urged the president to drop out of the race and for Democrats to find a new nominee. Biden has come under increasing pressure since his disastrous debate performance against presumptive GOP nominee Trump.

“While our hysterical friends in the corporate media continue to lose their minds over Joe Biden’s loss of support from the star of ‘Monuments Men,’ it should be much bigger news that Donald has lost the support of virtually every single person who served with him when he was in the Oval Office ― including the vice president [Mike Pence] his followers, whom he incited, almost murdered on January 6, 2021,” the former president’s niece wrote in the latest issue of her email newsletter, “The Good In Us.”

Mary Trump described Pence as “a shameless sycophant who polished my uncle’s boots for four years” but said his “abandoning” of Trump and “refusing to endorse him, and refusing to vote for him seems like a bigger story to me than anything George Clooney has to say.”

Reiner and Stewart arrogantly assuming they have the gravitas to persuade Biden to withdraw because they say so is a sit-com that writes itself..if a not so stellar 90 minute “debate” with a.despised pathological liar/convicted rapist/tax cheat/convicted felon/psychopath is reason for so-called celebrities to pull their support, then I say they should look at their own lackluster records of box office bombs and public firings ..and if they wish to maintain a scintilla of dignity they should apologize and then shut the fuck up..

Particularly Clooney with his 500 million dollars and residence in Italy. Sucks as an actor, and we should care about his opinion??? Really tired of the celebrity cult members thinking they are so influential that they must share their thoughts with we ignorant people with real jobs living real lives. I think it is time for them to drop out of the human race.

Not all trolls are paid but the Russian ones are. His NYT hit piece (of course it would be the New York Times) sounds so much like Russian concern trolls I've seen here on DU and other boards

"I love the president but he's old." You know who else is the exact same age as our president? Harrison Ford.

Did Clooney come out against Ford acting in the new Captain America movie? Was Ford too old for you Clooney? It seems Ford is fighting against time too.

There are many 81 year old actors and no one is telling them to get out of the business. But despite Clooney not coming out against Biden during the primaries, he thinks the only person who has beaten Trump in an election should bow out.

He thinks the winner of Trump's last defeat should just go away with only 3 months before the election. Hmmm sound so much like a concern troll.

Bowing out guarantees a Democratic loss. This media frenzy is just like the BS they spewed out about Hillary. The filthy-rich really want their tax giveaways even Clooney.

So the richest Americans think it's A OK to destroy our democracy if it makes them a few bucks.

On edit:
Well, he'll be okay until Trump hands Ukraine over to Putin, who then takes over the rest of Europe--including France.

it comes down to who do you trust. I trust Joe. I even trust that more voters trust Joe than trust Trump. Furthermore, I don't know if there's another Democrat that I trust AS MUCH as Joe. He has almost 4 years as POTUS and 8 years as VP.

And he's willing to toss the country into the woodchipper over it, and Reiner stands with his "good friend George" . I think Rob Reiner will regret this. I know I won't ever think the same of him again. Just like that Susan Sarandan person.

We need to be smart. Joe Biden needs to be smart. People who care about democracy need to be smart.

There is no downside to clarifying who Trump is regardless of who the Democratic candidate is.

a trump assistant. This isn't about President Biden and the few people who want him to drop out. This is about the corporate media keeping the Epstine Files out of the news. After all trumps name and pictures are all over the files. And who was 'Accomplice A' in the Michael Cohen case (humm let me guess TRUMP) the media has been keeping bad stories out of the lime light for years. It's a simple republican ploy 'don't look over here look over there' and people just keep following these stupid stories. When will the list be brought up about all the people who have dumped trump? Never! The list is endless and all he has are the die hards that won't listen to the truth anyways. And the corporate media has to quit the BS about President Biden has to court the trump voters that is complete BS. There are so many Pro President Biden voters and so many anti trump voters but the corporate media will tell you about the "polls'' those polls are part of the BS look over here not over there...

On a Sunday when you know Joe would be at church, set a time, when Joe is just getting out of church where people all over America go out in public and stand for 10-15 minutes. Would the corporate media show that? I’m sure that would super charge Biden, to see the regular folks are standing with him. I don’t do social media I guess that would be the place for some grass roots thing like that to start.

I couldn’t stay away. Woke early and checked DU after taking a break last night. Wasn’t it Buffalo Springfield who said “There’s something going on here, what it is ain’t exactly clear…” that’s kind of how I feel these days.
