Bannon said their strategy was to flood the airwaves with bullshit.

How do you fight a "flood of bullshit"?

That is what Democrats are now facing. It doesn't really matter what they have accomplished or what a great job Joe Biden has done. All that matters is how do they deal with the bullshit?

As some have noted, it is best to fight fire with fire.

In my opinion, Democrats need a warroom so they can call Trump and Republicans out on their lies and bullshit. Trump is a congenital liar. He says he knows nothing about Project 2025. He's thinking of running as a "pro-choice" candidate, because he knows how weak he is on the abortion issue. He has said that he wants to "terminate" the Constitution. He wants revenge and retribution for his political enemies, as if he is totally innocent of inciting an attack on our Capitol, that he wants people to believe he has evidence that he lost the last election because it was rigged, that he is nothing but a poor victim of the "fake" news and the left-wing Democrats. The "warroom" should spend all their time calling out his lies and bullshit. Because he is full of it.

He is a coward that is afraid to take real questions from real journalists. He prefers to stand up in front of his adoring fans at his rallies and act like Rodney Dangerfield. Because, he gets no respect. The fact of the matter is that he is the most unfit person to ever run for the Presidency and he doesn't want people to know the truth.

Yes we need a war room and a plan.

And it is time to take the gloves off and fight like hell.

How do you "take the fight to them and stop playing defense" without it being "reactionary". Telling the truth is a reactionary act in these times.

That's the key.

Don't let the counterattack simply be a "No it's not" response to one of their untruths.

It has to be a sharp, scathing truth about them. One that looks, sounds and feels louder than the bomb they lobbed.
And it has to hit people in the gut. Not just policy points (Which are important, but let's face it, that doesn't work with mass audiences).

with cheap ad of a couple of seconds . They are doing it now even as you-tube advertising...Democrats don't seem to get it. Every time an ad shows someone is watching, every time and ad plays on the radio someone is listening. Its targeted and its where people don't have many options.

Given the sorry state of the media.

So, they are going full Gish galloping. That’s a double edged sword that the, as always inexperienced, child of the candy-corn-skid-mark can’t possibly understand. It doesn’t get a message out there by poking your fingers in your ears and shouting, “La! La! Laaaa! Laaaaah!”

Sure, for awhile it drowns out any relevant messaging. People tire and tune it out eventually. It, like anything Trump, doesn’t wear well.

Since the gloves are off and in the spirit of age and experience always beats dumb youth, the counter is to flood the airwaves with focused messaging. No need to prove anything. Trump has told us what he fears the most. Hang each of those albatrosses of Epstein and Project 2025 around his neck at every opportunity. Show every slip and foolish utterance. Trump can’t stand to “look bad”. Make him deny it and thereby own it.

That is unless you want to go, “high”.

Trump and especially mocks him as President Biden did yesterday in Detroit.

I don't love Chris Hayes, but he said a good thing.
"That was pretty much a perfect 30 minute set." show biz terms, act, comedic set
It should be repeated over and over again across the country, until it gets its message out to enough voters.

We should all study it. "Shark Week" should become a common phrase of ridicule.

That was enough rebutting. Particularly effective with humor, which disarms and is extremely enjoyed by all.

All the good politicians of all time use humor to their advantage.

Above all, don't get trapped in the shit storm. This is pretty much, I believe, what happened to President Biden on the night of the debate.

We don't win by playing defense all the time. And this is largely of our own volition.

call and response.

i would only say to the President - let the crowd laugh and cheer and chant a little bit more. perhaps don't stop them or interrupt so much. or do it in a "yes, and" way, as is done in improv games.

other than that - wonderful, wonderful

The reality is that Biden will win this by a bigger margin than 2020 and will have the biggest coattails in history, leading the Democratic Party into a house and senate majority.

The playbook for corporate media is to tear down the leading candidate and build up the loser. It worked in 2016; it has not worked since.

I would like to see Biden take a day to head up to the RNC convention, stand outside in his golf attire and bag of clubs and tell the convict he has made a tee time for them at a local muni course. “I am ready to accept your challenge, Donald. Grab your clubs and let’s go! I’m going to walk the course and carry my own bags. I understand if you are too feeble to walk, Donnie.”
