How is it the Secret Service allowed the roof of a nearby building to be outside the perimeter . . . .

. . . . even as it had a easy line of sight to the podium?

That's a rookie mistake.

And how is it people in the crowd saw the shooter. Saw the gun. Yelled about it to the secret service for "ten minutes" but were ignored.

This all seems pretty amazing to me.

...as mad obvious by his personal "body agents" leaving his head and upper body exposed seconds after being shot at so he could wave to the crowd.

He had to know he was somewhat safe before he was allowed any further exposure to the crowd as they moved him to the limo.

A series of gunfire from 00:03 to 00:09, then a pause and a single gunshot at 00:18. That last shot was most likely the SS finding and hitting his target.

to the agents so he could do the fist pump.
She went on to say it was his television background that caused him to grab that moment for posterity, rather than being seen scrambling to get up. She was praising that foolish and self-serving decision, which further exposed him and the agents. Disgusting.

What is the normal contingent of SSA’s assigned to a former president or candidate? I know he’s not going to get as many as a sitting president. But it does seem to be sloppy protection.

Other than the buildings behind the stage on which the secret service actually set themselves up, it seems like the very first thing that would stand out about the scene.
