I lost a friend to it in 2023 when it came back after a few years of being cancer free. Ms.
Doherty did some good work about the disease in her last few years.

… it came back as nodules in her ribs in late summer of 2023 that was it. She was a
friend’s wife, I knew her for 30 + years, and I proudly wear her Michigan State hate almost
everyday.

So sorry about your wife.

but, unfortunately, the cancer wasn't diagnosed before it was too late, they did manage to prolong her life for a few more months, but in the end, it was just too little too late.

The hardest part was watching her slowly waste away knowing that there was nothing I could do to save her.
