President Biden is the man for this time

My initial reaction to the violence yesterday was that trump just won the election; that he'd become a martyr, that Biden would be essentially castrated and left unable to pounce on him, his policies, his calls for violence and his fascist leanings. But I think, in fact, that, this event will demonstrate who President Biden is - calm, steadfast, wise, mature, empathetic with a strong sense of justice and love for this country. All of that is what we need at this time. And I think (hope) that will play to his, ours and the country's advantage.

That the man at the top has the opportunity to be, well ... "Presidential", Biden is distinguishing himself by being the reasonable, calming voice we need, the whole nation needs, right now.

But I also realize that our country is not l it appears. The difference between who it is and who we want it to be is stark.
Many Americans will at the traits you described and only see weaknesses. There is a large segment of our society that craves a strongman dictator that is "invincible" and harsh and violent and will crush all its enemies with no mercy.
They want to controlled. They want to be abused.

They are not the majority but they don't have to be. They only have browbeat and humiliate the competition and ensure more of them vote, this one last time, than our side. Apathy, fear, uncertainty and doubt all they need to win.
We cannot let them win. We have to do everything in our power to counter that apathy. To stop fear. To stop uncertainty. To stop the doubt. That is our only path to victory.

... some tRump supporters will recoil from the violence. They will finally see him for what he is and that's not what they're signed up for.

He was the right man for the times back then, too. I hope to hell all of the younger Dems are all paying attention to how it's done.
