that he will win?Look guys, this is it for me. Even if I survive my disease a while, I won't likely be fit for more elections. But this country needs every last ounce I have left, and needs it from all of us.
If you know people that know people, please let him know we love the President and support him and are by his side, day after day, and won't abandon him.
If we keep the faith, we will win.

(10,334 posts)Because I just don't see how we can win without him. It's way too late in the game to magically produce a ticket with a better chance than Biden/Harris.

(15,099 posts)Its panic (arguably unjustified) that he cant win. I believe he can and will continue supporting him. If he steps aside, I will vote for whomever our nominee is. The alternative is unthinkable.

(14,837 posts)because big donors are threatening to withhold contributions if they don't call for Biden's withdrawal.
The part of the debate that concerns the donors the most was not the flubbed line. It was the part about a 25% tax on the wealthy. They HATE that shit, so they are calling for a different candidate than the one the rest of us chose.

I think its ridiculously insulting to argue otherwise, that people like Nancy want Trump to win.

(10,334 posts)And in fact we have lost numerous times in the past. But when have we ever seen our candidate treated like this? We voted for him. We. The. People. Of. The. Democratic. Party. We voted for him. What do we have if our votes do not count? I'm old, I have never seen anything like this before. This is not normal politics.

(94 posts)We've never had an 81 year old candidate, four years older than the Democrat we elected in 1993. Biden was elected as an elder statesman to put the country back together after Trump. He did that. He thinks he needs to finish the job. But all the attention on Biden now is focused on his age. There's no getting around that. You can't unwatch the debate. I think the Democrats need a candidate who will generate enthusiasm, not one who when you see him walking up Air Force One steps you hold your breath and pray he doesn't fall.

(170 posts)Just ask yourself which major donors would be hurt by a 25% tax increase, stronger unions, affordable pharma and medical care, affordable education, a greener economy? Whose interests would suffer from a quick resolution to the crises in Ukrain and Israel? I'll bet that you will find one of this type donor behind every Dem Politician who is calling for Joe to step down.

We've both been busy, so I will ask again.
