(12,672 posts)About 30 house members, 10 Senators and 3 governors?
Sounds pretty united...

(31,195 posts)I don't know if Cuellar ever endorsed Obama or Hillary. I know he was a Biden supporter. I wouldn't read much into it. The Rio Grande Valley has their own brand of politics.

(83,242 posts)8 for Kamala, 11 undecided. It's the only state with more undecided than committed.

(55,334 posts)I hope he calls a press conference and makes a BIG deal of it.
The one thing Trump still beats us at is garnering free media. Time for us to learn that hat trick too

(9,238 posts)No need to do it now given there is essentially no one challenging her.

(55,334 posts)That's more than a month away.
Maybe he's waiting for a lull in the current tsunami of endorsements to make a bigger splash. Maybe he's too busy working the donor class. Maybe he's wanting more input into the veep selection, although that sounds a little too transactional for his usual "soft power" style.
But trust me, "No Drama" Obama won't hold off 4-5 weeks before endorsing. That'd look messy, no matter what his real feelings are.

They are the elite of the elite. The money rakers and bluebloods.
What are they waiting for?

(5,511 posts)The superdelegates only vote if it goes to a second ballot. As long as candidate has enough regular delegates, the superdelegates don't matter. So the above list of Congressional members supporting her are also superdelegates.
TwilightZone
(28,834 posts)And they can't vote on the first ballot. The DNC changed the rules in 2018 to reduce their influence.
So, they may not be allowed to endorse, but I'm not 100% certain.

(28,834 posts)I knew who the supers were, but I hadn't bothered to check to see if any of them had endorsed Kamala yet. Obviously, some of them have.
