*Detroit News Poll* Harris 41% TFG 41% Was TFG 47% Biden 39% in January
Lansing Michigan's presidential race is a dead heat between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden bowed out a little more than three months out from the November election, according to a Detroit News-WDIV-TV poll conducted this week.
Support for Trump and Harris is split 41% to 41% among the state's surveyed likely general election voters, with Harris slightly ahead by a third of a percentage point. The poll comes days after Biden announced Sunday he was dropping out of the race and endorsing Harris.

The poll comes a little more than six months after a January survey in which Biden was trailing Trump by 8 percentage points in a head-to-head matchup in Michigan. The 47%-39% split, at that point, left 3% of those surveyed indicating they'd vote for another candidate and 11% saying they were undecided.
