I heard this on a video someplace but I don't remember where. Seems like it was a Bulwark video. When they said this it stood out to me because I was noticing a change from four years ago. She now seems about as likable as anyone on the planet, especially with her genuine, warm, friendly smile. If this is the real Kamala then we have hit the jackpot with a candidate who is beautiful, strong, charismatic, smart and kind. This is so refreshing and moving! She seems to be doing this for all the right reasons.

is charming, exuberant, and friendly. Apparently, JD was given the same advice,but it's not working out so well. Angry, resentful, and judgmental doesn't quite have the same effect.

3. The issues suit her better this time also.

In 2019 that primary was played on the left side, everyone was trying to imitate Bernie and Warren on some level - it just didn't work. Lots of good candidates fizzled out, not just her, but she was unfairly portrayed as a bad candidate.

Kamala has been VP now for 3.5 years, has gotten better at speaking and is more comfortable running to the middle. The issues at hand like abortion, the courts etc fit her better now.

Biden got smeared relentlessly but in any case the dynamic of Biden vs trump was too established.

The change up allows Harris to come in as a fresh face with a fresh take and the contrast of a *normal* person against dementia don, without a well-established media narrative to normalize or distract us from his craziness, allows us to not only see her, but also to see the contrast with Donnie.

She's happy and upbeat and loves to laugh and has a big smile. Yeah, but that's amplified by the contrast with Donnie, who's a miserable, angry, whiny, curmudgeon.

The contrast is stark.
