Why are so many new posts just links to the shitter site?

And many have absolutely no OP personalized content - lazy much?

If I know the poster and I care about the message, I'll open ONE shitter link in a private window because I don't trust the muskrat.

If there are just a series of shitter links, I'll pass the post on by. No RECs. Couldn't care less about these scores anymore.

Elon is a jerk but do you want all these young Americans to only be only influenced by Republicans?

I’ve had posts with 200,000 impressions on Twitter. Last week some dog advice I gave got 46,000 impressions. What you post on Twitter can reach the young.

I keep hoping that people will coalesce around other platforms. In the meantime, I’ve limited my clicks, but the muskrat probably still gets a credit, even if I don’t go to the website. Fortunately, I don’t watch much talking-head commentary, but I’m a sucker for cute and funny videos. I need to just follow through and turn my back on xitter altogether.

if they only included a screenshot of the tweet so that the rest of us didn't have to click on it. Anymore if it's just a tweet it gets trashed.

I'm assuming "shitter" means "twitter"? Twitter is a big reason I learned so much about Gov. Walz, White dudes for Kamala, etc..

Maybe I'm just not getting the OP's point, but I see no reason not to use every platform available to spread information, heighten enthusiasm, etc.. Why stand on purity with less than 100 days to get the message across to whatever platform will do so?

Not just here, anywhere. People seem to think we're all eager to jump on whatever link they stick in a post, but I never liked to do that. Some places would stick trackers on you, some downloaded bad stuff. Not going to let that happen.

And I hate Xhitter to begin with.

So, no explanation, no excerpt, no context? No clickie for you!

I also don't jump on things people put in with a "OMG! So-and-so!" and nothing else. I don't much care what Jon Stewart, Rachel Maddow or pretty much anyone else did to get the poster so excited. Tell me something or you're just wasting my time.

Is that sometimes it loads very slowly and jankily. So if someone has five or six tweets in a post, it shifts the screen around while I'm trying to read.

This is particularly extremely annoying when done in the middle of a thread. Like you're boxing with the words on the screen.

And all this, so that I know what Jake, who somehow describes himself as both a barista and political commentator in his bio, can give a hot take that is so shallow and dumb, I feel like some kind of violence has been done to me just by reading it.

So . . . not a fan.

When I see that, i just back out of the thread. Very close to the point where I will block the biggest culprits. I wish we had a down vote button.

If someone doesn't know how to post a tweet, they need to either learn or not make the post.
