22. Yeah. I've wanted this the last two elections. It's not gonna happen.

In 2016, I really had a hard time grasping how he was competitive with Hillary. When it looked like he'd be the nominee, I thought he'd revolt every decent voter and Hillary would win in a 2008-like romp. As the election drew closer, it became clear that was not going to happen and Hillary was, at best, set to eke out a win.

In 2020, I got my hopes up again, especially as national polling indicated Biden was up close to double-digits. He was gonna get beaten like a drum.

Except Biden won by a margin similar to what I was thinking we'd see from Hillary four years earlier.

I do not expect anything differently this year. Trump is not going to be decimated at the ballot box. He will somehow find a way to win 46-47% of the vote, just as he did in 2016 and 2020.

Our hope is to just hang on and eke out another win. Age is our best chance of doing away with Trump for good. Unfortunately, it's clear Trumpism isn't so easily defeated.

Trump is a convicted criminal and should never be near the White House ever again. We need to amend the Constitution to state that a convicted felon cannot be President. It is an obvious thing that the Founders did not put into the Constitution. But they were aware that a Tyrant could get into power. They created a system of checks and balances to deal with that. But we do need to make it a law that a convicted criminal can not be President. Seems obvious. It would also go along well with the Supreme Court reforms that Joe Biden just put forth. So no criminals for President.
