He and his wife named their daughter Hope, the daughter they were able to have thanks to IVF.
Here they are riding the slingshot. I am in love.
Love the "turkey is meat" banter beforehand, lol.

(29,820 posts)For a few years before he died, after he married
his second wife (who allowed him to be as racist
as he wanted to be), I lost my dad to Fox.
So, I really relate to this meme!

(53,010 posts)It is now pretty likely he will leave this world soon, and will do it alone, having pushed his children away with his right wing lunacy. When we were young kids (pre-Fox), he wasn't political at all.
Absolutely heartbreaking.

(22,563 posts)Interestingly, our HS football director, Coach Hill, tried to encourage me to try out - but I told him up front that my childhood asthma would be a problem (since it flared up whenever I ran).
Still - for the few times we spoke afterward, he was always friendly and encouraging.
I didn't realize it at the time - but he'd look at me as if thinking: "it's too bad you have that problem - because I can tell that with some training and confidence, you wouldn't be half-bad out there (maybe as a safety or something like that)."
I miss him; I hope he's doing well (he must be in his 70s or 80s by now).
When I see Coach Walz, he reminds me of an older Coach Hill.
