It seems like a short ride to November. It's still quite a hike.
Our Harris game just started, we have 4 quarters,, to go
We won't go back
We gotta play the whole game through.

Overconfidence is as big a danger as immobilizing hopelessness.
Cook Political Report just moved AZ, GA, and NV from Lean Right to Toss Up. Great News, but that just takes us from underdog to neck and neck.

Most Dems know the treacherous landscape before us.

(14,559 posts)How many times do you have to be told that we're not complacent?
What will it take for you to finally realize that we're not complacent?

You are, the new thinkers

(2,959 posts)Do you, start out at 80mph? And try to keep that speed? Or do you know, you will be on road for 16 hours a day, and pace yourself?
We have 90 plus days till election,
Don't sprint, while running a marathon.

(14,559 posts)let me gently educate you a little on USDOT regs. for truck drivers:
https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/hours-of-service
This explains the USDOT regs for us, and the book is appox 3" thick.
Hope this helps you to understand.
Also, I would never travel at 80 mph in an 80,000 lb. (40 ton) vehicle, that would be highly stupid and, AFAIK, there are very, very few stretches of highway that actually have 80 or over 80 mph speed limits.
My original point is that we're not complacent, here on DU, and IRL, we're well aware of the consequences of being complacent.

(2,959 posts)Allow me too add,
Are you tired? After 16 hours of driving?
Do you sleep, and recharge?
90 days to election, I'm afraid that the " copy/ pasters" here,
Will be no where to be found on Nov 5.

(14,559 posts)we're not allowed to drive for 16 hours, we're only allowed 14 hours on duty time with 11 of those hours being allowed for driving time.
We are required to have 10 hours of off duty time including time in the sleeper.
