Most Americans ain't buyin' the repug bullshit any more. (a small rant)

They used to be able to get away with it.

Many of their constituents would believe that horse hockey about 'rising tides lifting all boats', 'trickle down economics', 'cutting taxes will increase revenues and create jobs', etc., etc.

Not any more.
Nope. they're done with that.
They have seen that it doesn't work.
It just made a bad situation even worse.
And they are hurting.

They now see that Boehner, in his 'negotiations' with President Obama is serving up, for the media, the same ol' repug bloviating bombast that means...NOTHING.

He is now between a rock and a very hard place.
He will have to cave on tax rates for upper income taxpayers.
He knows this.
Everything he says on camera is to try and keep the uber-right-wingers in the house from revolting.
His days as speaker may be numbered and he knows that too.
He is a man desperately trying to hold on to the power that he has.
Or used to.

bullshit any more." But did she? Among the first words to come out of her mouth was "Impeachment is off the table."

When most voters elected Democrats in 2008, we again knew that "Most Americans ain't buyin' the repug bullshit any more." But did Obama and his Chief of Staff? Didn't Obama immediately re-define himself as a "Centrist"? Didn't his Chief of Staff say, without any adverse consequences "fucking retarded" when referring to liberals? And didn't his Chief of Staff say, "Where else are they going to go?"

In 2010, when Obama extended the Bush tax cuts and let it be known that he agreed with or would partly accept Republican positions, we again knew that "Most Americans ain't buyin' the repug bullshit any more." After the election results were in, didn't we hear the words from the White House, "We get it."?

Now it is 2012. Did President Obama really get it in 2010? Does he really intend to do what the electorate wants? Are we no longer going to have to accept the Bush tax cuts?

Let's hope so.
