Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) doubled down on false claims that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating pets. saying they came from “first-hand accounts from my constituents,” the New York Times reports.

He then attacked the interviewer, Dana Bash, for fact-checking him, and accused her of being a “Democratic propagandist” for connecting his and Donald Trump’s words to the bomb threats in the city.

Vance, you are a shameful disgrace to your home state of Ohio and to the United States Senate. Do us all a favor and resign.

2. He expects everyone to believe his constituents contacted only him for the loss of their pets.

None of them called the police, the sheriff, the town council, the mayor, their state representative, their state senator, their US House of Representative but went straight to their US Senator. I wonder if they contacted their other US Senator.

What action did these constituents want J.D. Vance to take? Did they want him to bitch about VP Harris?
What is his solution to their problem in Springfield?

3. First-hand accounts from his constituents, my fat pink ass.

If your dog or cat goes missing are you going to call your U.S. Senator? No, you're going to put up posters on telephone poles, contact animal control and maybe post on Nextdoor. If you think your pet has been stolen you'll also call the local police. I will not contact Senator Klobuchar to tell her that my cat Pixie is missing, the next time she (Pixie) disappears into an alternate universe the way she does from time to time. I would not contact Sen. Klobuchar even if I suspected Pixie had been stolen (the evidence of which would be a blood trail and shreds of human skin).

Have any of you folks ever called your U.S. Senator when you couldn't find your pet?
