Why do rich rightwing people buy up TV, Radio, and other media for propaganda? Yet the rich left does other things!!

An honest question I have asked for many years. Could Tom Steyer afford a media outlet? Just asking!!! Could he be more influential improving our body politic by owning a strong media outlet instead of wasting $$$$ on an unsuccessful run for President?

Many radio / tv stations / media streams a person or corporation can own. And how many media outlets they can own in a state as well.

Also reinstate the fairness doctrine.
And make media outlets declare when news is news and opinion is opinion and when entertainment is entertainment. Say it often and clearly regarding the shows they air..
