You want to go after him? I have no problem with that except for one issue:
Where the fuck is the DoJ on Thomas and Alito?! Congress made a criminal referral and this was long after ProPublica reported on their bribes.
Where is the DoJ on Trump and his violation of the Emoluments Clause or his SiL, Kushner, taking $2b from the Saudis which was clearly in exchange for the murder by live dismemberment of Jamāl Aḥmad Khāshqujī.
Garland is a damned disgrace and I hope when Harris wins, she replaces this republican lite milquetoast of an excuse for an AG.

(21,275 posts)For nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businesspeople and at least one Turkish government official seeking to gain influence over him, the indictment reads.

I'm sure Clarence and Sammy will be in the dock shortly for doing the same stuff, right?

(22,960 posts)What laws have Alito and Thomas broken?
Do you have a link re: criminal referral from congress? (Im only aware of an ethics issue, not criminal). Sadly, what those corrupt justices do is legal.
The Emoluments clause has no enforcement mechanism and no statute to indict, so, despite being in the constitution, and being an impeachable act, is not a crime.
I would be surprised if Kushner isnt on the DOJs radar, or at least the SECs, but these arent publicly announced while in progress.
This would all be the same if someone besides Garland was AG.

(1,098 posts)If Garland had done his job, Trump would not be running for office right now. Now, because of Garlands inaction, even to fucking investigate these issues, Trump has a real chance to be President again. Do NOT defend the inaction of Garland. He let cases expire for where there was an open and shut case ready to go.
Fiendish Thingy
(22,960 posts)This has been discussed and debated ad nauseum, mostly before your time here at DU.
Absence of public information is not evidence of Garlands inaction.
The WaPo report from last year, although often referenced as PROOF! of Garlands inaction, actually established that he pursued investigating Trump despite resistance and obstruction from pro-Trump career staff, mostly at the FBI (as career staff, they cant just be fired on a whim - union rules, you know).
The end result is Jack Smith started on third base thanks to the efforts of Garland and his team (who make up most of Smiths team). Thanks to Garland, the critical evidence collected during the Mar-a-Lago search, and events leading to the search are still admissible despite judge Cannon dismissing the charges on a technicality over Smiths appointment.
But yeah, I get it - Bad Orange Man not in jail, and it makes you mad, and someone must take the blame, so
Godwin 2.0.

P.S. I guess your blah blah blah means you concede your accusations re: Garland are groundless, because blah blah blah isnt much of a refutation.

(22,511 posts)And in so many other discussions about these issues (past, present, and no doubt future, since some people will probably never get it).
I completely understand people being upset and frustrated with Trumps getting away with so much (so far, which does NOT necessarily mean he will continue to do so forever). I'm frustrated myself, but I wish people could find a way to deal with their frustrations other than looking for a scapegoat to hate on.
I've never understood how anyone can be sure they know exactly what is or isn't going on behind the scenes at the DOJ, vis-a-vis investigating or prosecuting TSF. I certainly don't know, I've never claimed to know, and I can't believe anyone else here does, either.

You should spell that out, instead of berating people who are asking for evidence of criminality.

(26,058 posts)Garland's lack of professional fortitude is ridiculous, he's just frozen in place. If he had started investigating tsf when he should have, we'd already have a conviction and tcf could not run for president and put us in jeopardy. If America dies by tcf, it will be hugely because garland was a huge chicken!!

(411 posts)Adams is a black Democrat. The others are white Republicans. None of this should be legal. But to paraphrase Trump, when you are a white Republican, they let you do it.

(52 posts)Adams is a corrupt former Republican who never saw a police beating or shooting he didn't like, is proven to hang out with billionaires, 3 of whom donated big money to a superpac for his election, and all the other stuff we know about and is currently coming to light.
You always want the Democrat punished by the House or Senate for ethics violations, and by the DOJ when guilty of a crime, because it keeps the grifters away from our party, which is why the crooks run as Republicans. Adams couldn't possibly win as a Republican, so he said he was a Democrat.
