And that includes gouging, speculation and organized corporate buying of new housing starts that only makes owning a home unaffordable for most working men and women.

Americans haven't lost control of their lives, they have willingly turned their lives over to the RW-MAGA-media and GOP. They have obeyed in advance the authoritarian supporters and the would-be tyrants. They have willfully blamed their fellow citizen-victims for an imaginary loss of control.

If government did not work, planes would not be flying, people would not get their social security checks or medicare/Medicaid reimbursements, national parks would be destroyed by real estate developers, oil companies and who knows who else, the air your breeze and water your drink would be toxic, employees would be paid below minimum wages, be made to work in horrible conditions reminiscent of the 19 th century,
Crime would be rampant and epidemics would ravage the country.
